How To Start Banting In 5 Easy Steps – This video was created specially for those who need some direction with starting out on the banting diet / lifestyle. It can be very confusing when starting out on any meal plan but as with anything, practice equals progress.

How do I start banting?

1. You need to have a starting point, so step 1 would be to

a. Take a before photo.

b. Weigh yourself

c. Take your measurements.

We do this so that we can evaluate our progress and keep ourselves motivated. Seeing the weight loss on the scale and in your measurements can be very motivating to continue with your banting journey.

2. Preparing and planning

I cannot emphasise the importance of planning and preparation when it comes to banting. This will keep you on track and help you avoid any pitfalls. Set meal plans atleast 2 – 3 days in advance. Ensure that you have all the ingredients that you will need, on hand and prepare your meals ahead of time. It is so easy to eat the wrong thing when you are hungry.

3. Download the banting lists so that you know what you can and cannot eat. This will take away all the guessing work.

4. Stick to the green list items and occasionally eat from the orange list if you are maintaining your weight.

5. Make sure to eat a good amount of fat within your ratio so that you stay fuller for longer.

6. Keep things interesting by trying out different low carb high fat banting friendly recipes.
